Canada Transit Atlas

Project Summary
Canada Transit Atlas is for people who can lose an afternoon following a railway line on a map. It brings public transit networks across Canada into one place, from city buses and streetcars to regional trains, intercity services, and ferries. Search for a route, stop, or place, then zoom in to see how the network fits together.
The map combines agency GTFS schedules with live vehicle positions where available. Vehicles without a live position can be shown where the timetable puts them, with scheduled and live data kept distinct. Layers reveal transit coverage and lines that are planned or under construction, while travel-time tools help explore where the network can take you.
There's plenty to explore beyond the map: a service-change feed tracks routes, stops, frequency, and operating hours; reliability views and report cards examine how service runs; a timelapse plays through a day of scheduled transit; and orientation diagrams reveal the street patterns that shape each network. Agency credits and data sources are linked throughout.
